Did They Actually Tear Up and Burn Copies of the Turah?

Direct answer: Yes. According to the surviving ancient witnesses, 1 Maccabees 1:56 and Josephus (Antiquities, Book 12), during the Seleucid persecution under Antiochus, around 167 BCE, discovered scrolls of the Turah were torn to pieces and burned, and anyone found keeping them was put to death. "The books of the law which they found, they tore to pieces and burned." (1 Maccabees 1:56) It is not a legend. Two separate ancient witnesses, the record of 1 Maccabees and the historian Josephus, describe the same thing: the deliberate destruction of the scrolls of the Turah during the Seleucid persecution. What the surviving ancient record says 1 Maccabees 1:54-64 describes the decree of Antiochus against the people and their Scriptures. The scrolls of the Turah that were found were torn to pieces and burned, and anyone found keeping a scroll, or living by it, was put to death. Mishliy (Proverbs) 3:5-7 Meaning: Trust Yahuah

Image
Direct meaning: Direct meaning: Mishliy (Proverbs) 3:5-7 calls you to Batakh in Yahuah, to rely on Him with your whole Lab, instead of leaning on your own Binah, your own understanding. Real trust is not a phrase you say. It shows in the Darak you walk, in reverence for Yahuah (Yara) that turns you away from what is Raʿ. What does Batakh mean in Mishliy 3:5? Batakh is not a casual belief that Yahuah exists. It means to rely on Him with confidence and security, to put your weight down on Him and expect Him to hold it. That is why the next line lands so hard: do not lean upon your own Binah. The contrast is not thinking against refusing to think. It is about what you finally rest your weight on. Is your own understanding the last word over your Darak, or is your confidence in Yahuah? What does Lab mean? Lab is the heart: the inner mind, the intention, the will, the room where choice actually happens. So Batakh in Yahuah with all your Lab reaches past your words. You can tell people...

Who Is Yashar'al, and Why Did Yahuah Promise to Gather Them?

Image
The name Yashar'al appears more than 2,000 times across the Scroll record, but the count is not the point. What matters is what Yahuah keeps saying about them: the covenant people He named, scattered for rebellion, and promised a gathering from every place they were scattered. Follow that one thread from the Turah through the Nabiym, through Yahusha and the lost sheep of the house of Yashar'al, into the Khadash Bariyth with Yashar'al and Yahudah, and all the way to Khazon, where the twelve tribes are still standing. A pattern rises up that is hard to ignore. Read the full study on ZoreaYahu » ZoreaYahu, restoration music and the witness of the ancient Scrolls. Visit the website .
